General
What is WERM?
WERM (Web Engine for Realm Monetization) is a monetization platform for game servers. It provides server discovery, storefronts, a global wallet system, and reliable delivery of purchases to players.
Which games does WERM support?
WERM currently supports Minecraft servers (Java Edition) running Paper or Spigot 1.8-1.21+. Support for more games is planned for the future.
Is WERM free to use?
Yes! WERM offers a free tier that includes all core features with a 5% platform fee. Paid tiers offer lower fees and higher limits.
How does WERM compare to Tebex/Buycraft?
WERM offers similar features with a global wallet system, hybrid delivery engine, and competitive pricing. Unlike Tebex, WERM Credits work across all servers on the platform.
Server Setup
How do I verify my server?
You can verify your server using three methods: Plugin verification (automatic), MOTD verification (add a code to your server description), or DNS verification (add a TXT record). Plugin verification is the fastest option.
Do I need to port forward for the plugin?
No! While webhooks require port forwarding, the plugin automatically falls back to polling if webhooks aren't available. Your store will work either way.
Can I use WERM with a BungeeCord/Velocity network?
Currently, the plugin should be installed on each backend server. Network-wide support is planned for a future update.
What Minecraft versions are supported?
WERM supports all versions from 1.8 to 1.21+ on Paper and Spigot servers.
Products & Sales
How many products can I create?
The number of products depends on your tier: Free (25), Starter (100), Pro (500), Enterprise (unlimited).
Can I schedule sales in advance?
Yes! You can create scheduled sales with start and end dates. The discounts will automatically apply and expire.
Do you support subscription products?
Subscription/recurring products are planned for a future update. Currently, all products are one-time purchases.
Can players gift products to others?
Yes! Players can purchase products as gifts for other players. The recipient receives the items when they next join your server.
Payments & Payouts
What payment methods do you support?
We support credit/debit cards and other payment methods through our payment processor. More options are being added regularly.
What are the platform fees?
Platform fees are: Free tier (5%), Starter (4%), Pro (3%), Enterprise (2.5%). Payment processing fees are passed through at cost.
What is the minimum payout amount?
The minimum payout threshold is $10 USD. Once your balance exceeds this, you can request a payout.
How long do payouts take?
Payouts are typically processed within 3-5 business days after request.
What currencies are supported?
All transactions are processed in USD. Prices are displayed in the player's local currency for convenience, but converted at checkout.
WERM Credits
What are WERM Credits?
WERM Credits are the platform's currency. 1 Credit = $0.01 USD. Players add credits to their wallet and can spend them on any WERM server.
Do credits expire?
No, WERM Credits never expire. Your balance remains until you spend it.
Can I transfer credits to another player?
Yes, you can gift credits or products to other players through the platform.
What happens if I get a refund?
Refunded amounts are returned to your WERM wallet as credits.
Delivery
How are purchases delivered?
WERM uses a hybrid system: webhooks for instant delivery when available, polling as a fallback, and an offline queue for players who aren't online.
What if a player is offline when they purchase?
The purchase is queued and automatically delivered when they next join your server. They can also manually claim with /werm claim.
Can commands be executed more than once?
No. WERM uses one-time delivery tokens to ensure commands are never executed twice, even if there are network issues.
What if delivery fails?
Failed deliveries are retried automatically. If all retries fail, the order is flagged for manual review and you'll be notified.
Security
Is WERM secure?
Yes. We use HMAC-signed webhooks, encrypted connections, atomic transactions, and comprehensive fraud detection to protect your store and players.
How do you prevent fraud?
We monitor for suspicious patterns including velocity checks, multi-account detection, geo-mismatch, and VPN usage. Suspicious orders are flagged for review.
Do you support two-factor authentication?
2FA for dashboard access is planned for a future update.
API & Integrations
Is there an API?
A REST API is coming soon! It will allow you to integrate WERM with your own applications and automate workflows.
Do you support webhooks?
Yes! You can configure webhooks to receive notifications for orders, deliveries, and other events.
Is there Discord integration?
Discord integration is planned for a future update, including purchase notifications and role syncing.
